Went to a recent celebration. It made me think about the stories we tell, while we’re still here. And the stories people tell about us, when we’re gone.
Just back from my first visit to Seattle. I didn’t know that the city was named for a local Native American ~ Chief Si’ahl. Lots of art in public places; like this image on the side of a random building.
I was surprised to learn that the frog fountain beside the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco, is an homage to Mark Twain, who for a time was one of the “Bohemians” who spent time at the Montgomery Block building, which was previously located on this site. Others there at the time included Bret Harte, Ambrose…
